Another one bites the dust (and moves to Brooklyn)

Tim Pourbaix Seeing double: Tim Pourbaix.

Brooklyn or Portland: It’s always one or the other. No one ever moves to Iowa City—no, it’s always the romantic ideals of the rainy northwest or the big New York City lights that lure away herds of Coloradoans every year. And today we’ll be saying good-bye to yet another: Tim Pourbaix, who is dropping his first full-length My Lover’s Lover tonight at the Larimer Lounge, is headed to the East Coast tomorrow for (of all things) a girl. Park Pourbaix—the musical collaboration between Pourbaix and Ellison Park—will also be releasing an EP tonight. Openers Hello Kavita, Tyler Despres, and Mike Marchant round out the bill, which promises to be heavy on singer-songwriter sap and sweet, acoustic indie-folk. Happy travels, Tim, and thanks for the music.
