Before Denver's rootsy indie-rock champ Bad Weather California grew into the stable, formidable, four-piece lineup it now is, it was the solo acoustic project of Grand Junction's Chris Adolf, who used to pack up his battered guitar and across the state on any given weekend to rock assorted warehouses and DIY venues. Now that the band has become a fixture on the local scene, though, Adolf has decided to bring things all back home--by having an acoustic show. Not only that, the performance, which takes place Saturday, will go down at Swallow Hill, Denver's home for traditional folk music (although the venue has been branching out a bit into the indie side of things lately). Of course, it could always be argued that folk music is the original indie rock, no?
