Just Announced Bright Eyes delays Friday’s Denver show

Bright Eyes, Denver show delay

It’s probably tough enough to handle all the unbridled emotion that goes along with truly appreciating Conor Oberst’s lyrics, without having to deal with potential scheduling conflicts too. Sometimes though, Bright Eyes fans, you just have to suck it up: The act’s Friday, June 3 show at the Fillmore isn’t happening, with promoter Live Nation citing a family emergency within the band. The silver lining? The emergency’s the sort of thing than can be dealt with in a matter of hours, apparently: Your tickets to Friday’s show will now be honored on Sunday, June 5 with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. While that’s pretty good news if you were hoping to make it to any of the album release shows from Iuengliss, Fujita Scale, The Microdots, or Potcheen scheduled at various venues around Denver this Friday, it’s kind of bad news if you already sprang for those semi-pricey tickets to Ratatat’s Sunday show. Talk about “The Calendar Hung Itself,” huh?
