Buffalo Exchange wants your fur coat

Got some old fur coats hanging in the back of the closet? Too self-conscious in this politically correct day and age to parade about town in a fancy pelt like the socialite you know deep down you are? Now through Earth Day, April 22, Buffalo Exchange (230 E. 13th Ave., 303-866-0165) will be collecting old furs for the Humane Society's Coats For Cubs program. Buffalo Exchange has collected more than 3,000 furs for the program since 2006, which uses the pieces for bedding and comfort for injured or orphaned animals. They will take fur in any condition, as most items can be salvaged. So bring down that flashy floor-length white rabbit’s fur coat, do a good deed, and then maybe peruse Buffalo for something that's a little more 2009 and a little less Cruella de Vil.
