Call for entries: F/Stops at Indy Ink

Photographs may be still art, but here’s an art show where you can get moving, too: F/Stops, opening March 5 at Indy Ink, is a group photography show and bike race. Photo submissions are being accepted now through March 1. All entries must be matted, mounted, framed and no larger than 8 by 10 inches or 12 by 16 inches. 

“The show is based on the theme of the bicycle,” says event peddler Broox Pulford, who runs local blog xrocksthespot.com. “I’m leaving it up to the artist’s interpretation of what that means to them.”

The alleycat race starts around 7:30 p.m. First through third place will win clothing and gift certificates to local stores, Pulford says. And you can also expect a bit of the unexpected: “We’re trying to keep it a secret as far as how far [the race] is going to be and what’s involved,” he said. “It won’t just be the fastest person that wins. There’s going to be other obstacles.”
