Candy Claws launch a "world tour," virtually speaking

Candy Claws Okay, Candy Claws. You know the rule: No farting in the van.

Three imaginary cheers for the Internet! With it, you can pretend to have 19,000 friends, simulate a life as a barbarian on a massive multiplayer quest to kill orcs, or imagine all kinds of creepy things that would bring Chris Hansen and Dateline NBC to your front door. If you're local act Candy Claws, you use the Internet to navigate a whole new frontier for the pretend goings-on of the information age, and plan a "virtual world tour" in support of your debut, In The Dream Of The Sea Life. On Monday, the band began teaming up with a slew of blogs around the world to deliver videos of acoustic renditions of its songs. The first 10 "stops" will feature live versions of songs, and the band will unveil a new video for each song during the final 10. (The itinerary can be found on the band’s blog.) With this new approach, they'll forgo the smelly van, shitty truck-stop food, and band fights started by sour games of "I Spy," but we hope Candy Claws at least swing by SuicideGirls.com (or this amazing hipster boy stalking blog) to score with some virtual groupies. After all, what good is a tour with no action?
