Who needs a sweetie to buy us sweets for Valentine’s Day when we’ve got McDonald’s? The Mickey D’s inside Wal-Mart on Hampden and Yosemite is lavishing a free ice cream cone or apple/cherry pie upon Walmart customers who bring their receipts to the counter any Friday, Saturday, or Sunday in February. So next time you’re picking up some Windex or a snow shovel or a 44-cent postage stamp (there’s no minimum purchase), drop by for dessert. But don’t be getting sneaky: “We have a McDonald’s hole-punch that we punch the receipt with so people can’t use it more than once,” said store manager Kelsie Henry.
For the record, this whopper of a deal will save you about $1.07.
