Fictional hard-rock band Spinal Tap—the brainchild of improv masters Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer—has appeared all over the place since the 1984 mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap: They've been on Saturday Night Live, been drawn into a Simpsons episode, and even played a 2007 reunion show in London. Plus, the actors behind the band cleaned up their looks to front another fake trio, The Folksmen, for 2003's A Mighty Wind.
But for the first time these comics will take the stage together as themselves, reprising hits from both films, unplugged. The appropriately named Unwigged And Unplugged Tour is hitting 30 cities this spring, making a stop at the Paramount Theatre on Wednesday, April 29 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 7 at 10 a.m. through TicketHorse—and given the insane cult following the films enjoy, they'll probably go quickly.
