Communikey 2012 unveils lineup

Anyone with half a brain and limited exposure to consumer culture should know that “bigger” and “better” aren’t as synonymous as marketing consultants would like the world to believe. In the case of Boulder’s Communikey Festival, however, bigger is indeed better. Festival organizers already pushed the fifth edition of the gathering, which is held around Boulder, to its largest size yet, with a massive five-day festival scheduled to run April 25-29. Guess what? It’s also the best lineup the festival has had to date, as a host of high-profile electronic artists will be performing.
Headliners Laurie Anderson, DJ Sprinkles, Men, and Peaking Lights top a bill of 38 experimentally minded electronic artists confirmed for the event. The event will also feature three art exhibitions curated around three themes—“Artifacts Of The Future,” “Zero Waste Station Design,” and “Reclamation Of Time”—that expand on digital culture, explore green living techniques, and discuss the work/life balance so troubled by modern technology. A limited number of presale tickets are available through Communikey’s Early Bird pass program.
