Go to where the wild things are tonight with two different animal-themed flicks: Jaws screens this evening at Red Rocks as part of the Denver Film Society’s ongoing Film On The Rocks series. Denver band The Rouge plays ahead of the movie and its sweet indie-pop promises to be a stark contrast to the images of bloodied ocean waters and screaming children. Get even more morbid with tonight’s free showing of Grizzly Man at the Denver Public Library. The disturbing/enlightening 2005 Werner Herzog documentary follows the story of Timothy Treadwell, a passionate (if not, naive) nature lover who paid the ultimate price for his eccentric lifestyle.
