It would be easy to make a cheap crack about crying emo kids with this news, but we won't kick you when you're down. Instead, we'll just give it to you straight: Dashboard Confessional isn't coming to Denver after all. The band scrubbed its entire North American tour yesterday, citing a mysterious "family condition," meaning the Monday, Nov. 9 show at the Fillmore Auditorium can now be added to your catalog of might-have-beens and broken dreams. Despite the act's promise to return in early 2010 for a do-over, a rescheduled date hasn't been pinned down, and refunds are available at point of purchase. Blink back tears and look at the silver lining: Now you'll have more than enough cash in your pocket to pick up the band's new album, Alter The Ending, which hits stores next Tuesday, Nov. 10.
