Death Cab For Cutie announces new tour dates, next single
If you’ve been eyeing the dates of Death Cab For Cutie’s latest tour and sighing heavily because the band hasn’t scheduled a stop in your town, good news is at hand.
The band dropped an updated list of tour dates today, bringing the newfound happiness on display on its new Codes And Keys to fans all around the nation (and parts of Canada). Joining Death Cab at various points along the way is a diverse roster of supporting acts, including Explosions In The Sky, Frightened Rabbit, The Hold Steady, and Telekinesis, giving you something else to sigh discontentedly about if your favorite from among those acts isn’t playing your local show. Maybe you’ll be happy to hear that the band also announced “Stay Young, Go Dancing” as its next single? Or just stay miserable until the show, where Ben Gibbard’s recent turn toward contentment will cheer you up (marrying Zooey Deschanel has that effect)—until the band plays its back catalog and plunges you back into a world of sadness.
