In case you were wondering if Denver was a great place to live, Sunset Magazine just confirmed it: We are officially one of the top 20 forward-thinking cities in the country, according to an article posted yesterday on the magazine’s website. Along with Pasadena, Calif., Las Cruces, N.M., Boise, Idaho, and other  “towns of the future,” Denver is a place where  “young entrepreneurs are not hesitant to try something new, city halls are taking on the environment at a grassroots level, and universities are challenging old ways of thinking.” Our specific appeal is in Mayor Hickenlooper’s Greenprint Plan, a combined effort of increased public transportation options and a citywide bike-sharing network. Basically, Denver’s desire to go green is what makes us the shit. Who knew we were so awesomely futuristic?
