Denver Noise Fest returns this weekend
You can abuse your liver pretty much year-round, so why not give that much-maltreated organ a break this weekend and try fucking up a different part of your body for a change? The Denver Noise Fest returns this Friday through Sunday to Old Curtis Street Bar, with 34 experimental bands and 11 avant-garde DJs to help usher in early-onset tinnitus. Noise-rock granddaddies The Haters—celebrating more than 30 years of experimental din—are the most impressive name on the bill, but the rest of the acts aren’t slouches either. Experimental-rock favorites (or whatever passes as favorites in that scene) No Funeral and Armenia are on tap, as is Ryan Mcryhew of Denver’s Hideous Men. And if you just insist on contributing to that cirrhosis, Old Curtis Street’s bartenders are sure to help you achieve that weekly goal.
