Spring is barely around the corner, and already this year’s music festival updates are starting to roll in: The Westword Music Showcase, slated for June 19, announced its headliners this morning, including indie hard-hitters Dirty Projectors, Ghostland Observatory, and Superchunk. The all-day event is held throughout several venues (and a few makeshift ones) in the Golden Triangle, and it seems to get bigger every year, pulling in varied national acts to balance out the long list of featured locals. Tickets will be available through westword.com, and will be sold for a limited time this Friday for the cheapie price of $9.33.
