Virgil Dickerson would like you to enjoy some free music, courtesy of Suburban Home Presents
By now, you should probably know that Denver’s Suburban Home Records has been putting out a slew of pop-punk and alt-country records for more than 15 years. What with your terrible, terrible habit of pirating all your music online wrecking the music industry and all, label head honcho Virgil Dickerson is getting back into the show-booking game. To celebrate Suburban Home Presents’ upcoming schedule, Dickerson collected 18 cuts from the local and national acts he’s booked into Denver clubs in between now and April. Included on the free digital sampler (by the way, act fast—that link’s limited to 500 downloads) are Colorado faves Drag the River and The Hollyfelds, as well as cuts from Lizzie Huffman and The Nervous. If you like what you hear, surf over to Suburban Home’s schedule of upcoming shows—many of which are free, which should be a big bonus to all you “I don’t pay for my music” types out there.
