Radio rap has seemingly been stuck on repeat for almost a decade, and whether it started with Diddy’s gurgled “uh huhs” or stalled out at Lil Jon’s annoying chants championing alcoholism is debatable. But one thing is clear: As long as demand for quality pop music remains low, a rapper like Fabolous, who comes to the Fillmore on Dec. 18, will always have a place to rest his rhymes. We at The A.V. Club must be under this same spell that’s keeping mediocre giants like the F-A-B-O on the charts though, because all we want to do lately is “throw it in the bag.” Seriously. We can't stop singing it.
