Fake Pearl Jam, fake Soundgarden, and fake Alice In Chains—sounds like a real bummer
Ten: like Pearl Jam, but with leather and highlights.
Nostalgia is all the rage lately, so it's safe to say that this week’s announcement of the “Sounds Of Seattle” tour coming through Denver in January should be a pretty popular show. Pearl Jam cover band Ten should satisfy any fan who misses the long-haired, Ticketmaster-battling Eddie Vedder. And along with Bleed The Freak, an Alice In Chains cover band, and the epic Soundgarden tribute, Badmotorfinger, all Pacific Northwestern bases should be covered. But for the record, if you’re looking for the real thing, Pearl Jam is still around, Alice in Chains is fully functioning without Layne Staley, and Chris Cornell is making gripping, radio-rock somewhere in an Audioslave-friendly universe.
