Get In The Van: Kingdom Of Magic
Watch out California, Kingdom Of Magic is coming for you.
Luke Fairchild has fronted a lot of local bands—Sparkles, White Dynamite, and Git Some (which he still currently plays in), just to name a few—and each project has had its own respective high points. But not until Kingdom Of Magic had Fairchild ever pit his screechy yowl against the heavy, guitar-fuzzed backdrop of filthy-as-shit stoner metal. Oh, and it’s good. Really good. And, starting tomorrow, it’s hitting the road: For the next few weeks Kingdom Of Magic, which recently dropped a split 12-inch with fellow Denverites Burn Heavy, will be doing a West-Coast tour with Portland post-hardcore purists Prize Country. (Be sure to check out Decider’s Top Five with Prize Country and brush up on some sweet non-grunge '90s tunes.) And don’t forget to see Fairchild and company off Friday at Old Curtis Street for the Kingdom Of Magic tour kickoff show. It’s sure to melt your ears and your soul.
