More Just Announced
Underneath its smooth indie-rock surface and crusty punk-rock mantle, Denver sports a molten core of some pretty goddamn extreme metal. Come the end of October, that metal middle bit is going to explode out onto the road, when two of Denver’s heaviest acts—Havok and Cephalic Carnage—join forces to support Exhumed on a grip of North American tour dates (the charmingly named Goatwhore also joins the metal circus on most of those dates). That’s good news for Denver metal fans who believe (rightfully) that our local metal scene deserves more attention. Less good news for those same fans is that, thus far, no local dates have been announced. Depending on which seems more appealing, locals would need to plan a road trip to Flagstaff, Arizona or St. Louis, Missouri to catch the lineup. That is, unless that intriguing Nov. 19 TBA date turns out to be a home stand... (You could also catch Havok tonight, when the band plays with Denver’s furry metal sensation, Extreme Turbo Smash.)
