Havok heats things up with "Covering Fire" video

Havok, Covering Fire

The local metal heroes of Havok just released a video for “Covering Fire,” a blistering metal anthem off its latest album, Time Is Up. Musically, it plays a little like a modern version of Slayer’s “Angel Of Death,” albeit with a slightly less timeless (though still awesome, mind you) main riff. Visually, the band isn’t burning any bridges to the past—this stems from the retro metal video school of “film the band pretending to play and looking menacing” with the optional “fire and explosions” package added on. It may not be the most original of videos or songs, but hey, it’s still well capable of warming your metal-loving heart, even if it will never burn up the charts. Without further ado, here’s “Covering Fire.”
