Heaven And Hell with Coheed And Cambria, August 15 at Red Rocks
More Just Announced
Metal never dies, and apparently neither does its forefathers. Heaven And Hell—the post-Ozzy version of Black Sabbath—has reunited (as if these bands ever break up) for a summer-long tour to promote its first album in 17 years The Devil You Know. The well-kept corpses of guitarist Tony Iommi, vocalist Ronnie James Dio, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Vinny Appice will be here August 15 at Red Rocks; prog-rock-worshipping young’uns Coheed And Cambria is slated to open. Heaven And Hell has promised also to play select Dio-era Sabbath songs—just don’t go screaming for “Electric Funeral” like some kind of dummy. Tickets go on sale this Saturday.
