You probably never thought you’d read the phrase “the glory days of Denver’s third-wave ska scene,” but what would life be without its little surprises? Five Iron Frenzy spread the gospel as one of Denver’s most notable Christian-themed acts during its run from 1995 to 2003, and now the eight-member group is ready to gaze back with a retrospective DVD. The epically titled The Rise And Fall Of Five Iron Frenzy includes heaps of interviews, as well as live and backstage footage. It’s out March 16 from California’s Asian Man Records, so dig out those tres chic bowling shows and porkpie hat and get skanking. On second thought—maybe not.
