What can we say? This week ruled for show announcements. If you’re a country music fan and have $99-$400 lying around, Live Nation is offering the 2010 Country Megaticket, a package deal that includes admission to Tim Mcgraw, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, and the Country Throwdown—a virtual Lollapalooza of dudes in cowboy hats, 5 o’ clock shadows, and big belt buckles. Or, if you want to noodle out in a tie-dye T-shirt and snag some of that hemp ice cream peddled every summer at Red Rocks, there’s The Disco Biscuit’s Bisco Inferno happening May 29 with The Crystal Method, Booka Shade, and more. But if you’re like us and work for a living, Psychedelic Horseshit and Future Islands might be more budget-friendly options. Both bands are playing donation-only space Rhinoceropolis in the coming months, where you’re likely to rub shoulders with cowboys, hippies, mysticals, punks, and even the occasional LoDo escapee.
