Kick off the season with The Kissing Party’s “Winter In The Pub”
In case you weren’t paying attention, it’s Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/ Festivus/Solstice/Whatever Season! And in case you hate traditional holiday music as much as most thinking, feeling humans do, we’ve got a little treat for you, courtesy of The Kissing Party. It’s a little three-and-a-half minute slice of burbling, melancholy seasonal pop called “Winter In The Pub.” It’s about drinking, we think. Hard to say, since the lyrics are nigh incomprehensible, but it’s a pleasant, murmuring track with gentle guitar strums, shimmery synthesizers, and a mellow beat.
Regardless of whether it’s about drinking or not, it would sure sound right at home playing while you stare out the window at a blustery day, stiff drink in hand and bittersweet dread about the holidays in your heart.
