If you missed Leslie & The LY’s showdown in Denver last year with Stereo Total, here's a second chance: The spandex-clad rapper and her entourage (including DJ Dr. Laura) will be headlining the Larimer Lounge Mar. 15. Repping Ames, Iowa, with her own iced out Wal-mart employee style, Leslie Hall reminds us that yes, scrunchies are still in, and it’s okay to enjoy Reba McEntire from the factory speakers of a mini-van on the way to the club. In a world of faux-rich, coastal hip-hop copies of copies, Hall’s Midwestern reality is refreshing. As refreshing as— like Leslie says—dipping your chips in her party dip.
