Los Campesinos! plot lengthy North American tour
More Just Announced
It probably takes a lot of legwork to get a band with seven members on the road, so Cardiff-based Los Campesinos! are making it worth their while. Beginning in late January, the septet is trekking across North America on an ambitious tour that takes them from New England to French Canada to English Canada (including two shows at Lee’s Palace on Jan. 21 and 22) then back to the U.S., through the Midwest then back into Canada before trekking down the West Coast. That’s a whole lot of glockenspiel. Touring behind their latest, November’s Hello Sadness, this Los Campesinos! slog through the windswept bitterness of Canadian and American winters and the general slush of the Pacific Northwest may well test the group’s own capacity for melancholy. Tickets go on sale to the public on Wednesday, Dec. 7, via the group’s website.
