Matt And Kim announce North American tour, new album in the works
More Just Announced
Two-person party machine Matt And Kim had a memorable 2009: running naked through Times Square for their "Lessons Learned" video, soundtracking a weird, time-warping Bacardi mojito commercial, and having their sophomore album, Grand, go worldwide. So to ease the pressure of having to follow that up in 2010, the Williamsburg duo has announced an extensive North American tour starting in September after appearances at the Siren Music Festival in New York and Lollapalooza in Chicago.
Starting Sept. 15 in Syracuse and hardly skipping a day until Nov. 6 in Northampton, Mass., the tour include a stop Sept. 24 at the Ogden Theatre. The group has also announced its been hard at work on its third album—which is scheduled for a fall release—so it looks like a late charge could make this year another viral-video, booze-advertising success.
