Mile High Music Blues Festival announces lineup
Tab Benoit
More Just Announced
Hello summer. The Mile High Music Blues Festival just released its full schedule, excepting a surprise guest on Sunday to be announced later. Going down Aug. 7-8 at the—take a breath—Mile High Marketplace Event Center Complex, the second annual outing includes lives music on multiple stages as well harmonica workshops and harp giveaways (which may be the best prize ever or a really obnoxious one that will end up as a coat rack in your living room). The all-day outdoor festival also offers food vendors with an emphasis on Cajun, Creole, and barbecue; an exclusive VIP after-party; and, according to the press release, something called “jump jivin’,” which probably includes flailing arm movements and wearing sunglasses at night. Tickets are on sale now at the festival’s website, where you can also book discount hotel reservations for the weekend.
