Just Announced Mile High Music Festival and Warped Tour

Widespread Panic Widespread Panic: Get ready to spend the weekend with these dudes.

More Just Announced

Just when we thought Colorado was at a cap for local and national music fests—Communikey, Telluride Blues Festival, Monolith, all the local publication showcases, and on and on—here are two more to add to the bounty: Warped Tour and Mile High Music Festival.

By now, the 15th annual Warped Tour, which comes to Invesco Field Aug. 9, should be old news and its recently announced line-up is nothing short of predictable. There are the oldies (Bad Religion, NOFX, Bouncing Souls), the newbies (The Devil Wears Prada, Millionaires, Dear And The Headlights), and the token hip-hop act (P.O.S.). See the full list of bands here, or just watch this amateur video:

Prefer your fests to be less punk, more expensive, and full of Widespread Panic fans? Mile High Music Festival has you covered on all fronts. The two-day fest, which returns to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City on July 18-19, features Widespread on both dates—the only band on the lengthy bill to play twice—and weekend passes starting at the very un-punk price of $162.50 (sheesh, didn’t anyone tell ‘em we’re in a recession?). Other big-name acts include Tool, The Fray, Incubus, Ben Harper And Relentless7, India.Arie, and Ani DiFranco; along with, of course, a number of popular mid-level groups such as 3OH!3, Gomez, The Black Keys, Gogol Bordello, Paper Bird, G. Love And Special Sauce, Matisyahu, and Dead Confederate. And, no, the full line-up doesn’t make any sense to us, either. Tickets go on sale April 3; until then, here's some Widespread footage to tide you over:
