Mixed Taste mashes up the summer
The Lab's popular lecture series finds a new home at MCA
The recent merger between The Lab At Belmar and Denver's Museum Of Contemporary Art is a mash-up made in heaven—as is The Lab's annual Mixed Taste lecture series, which is moving from Belmar to MCA's downtown digs this summer. As always, the program features unlikely pairings of two 30-minute lectures given by local experts on utterly unrelated topics, followed by a shared question-and-answer session. Expect a feast for the senses as well as the intellect: Past talks have been peppered with everything from documentary screenings to tequila tastings to a whole-hog buffet, and this season looks just as promising. Below is the just-announced lineup, which kicks off Friday, June 5 with a lecture by Mayor John Hickenlooper. About show tunes. Woah.
