Mustache rides: three for $15 ($20 at the door)

Properly pruned, cleaned, and displayed, the mustache may be one of the most magnificent things in all of creation. If in doubt, you might want to swing by the Mustache March Gala at Jackson’s All-American Grill in LoDo on Saturday. The celebration of the hairy upper lip will benefit the cancer charity Love Hope Strength and will be headlined by the retro-leaning, omni-instrumental Boulder menagerie known Ukulele Loki's Gadabout Orchestra. (Local indie songsmiths Ian Cooke and Tim Pourbaix will also be playing.) Loki himself is no stranger to the 'stache: The spirited music-and-mischief-maker also leads an organization called the Hirsute Moustache & Beard Grower Society that honors facial scraggliness in all its manifold glory. Of course, attendees of the Gala are encouraged to show up Saturday sporting mustaches of their own—and ladies, don't be shy about using a strap-on.
Keep an eye out later this week for Decider's interview with Ukulele Loki about the greatest mustaches throughout history (that aren't his own). Until then, here's a sampler of his madness:
