New John Common And Blinding Flashes Of Light video for "The Man Who Could"
More Local Newswire
You have to hand it to John Common: Dude isn’t afraid to share the spotlight. While he and his backing band, Blinding Flashes Of Light, are just starting another leg of their perpetual tour in support of Beautiful Empty, they’re putting the spotlight on director Drai C. Lloyd, who developed the act’s latest video. The clip, for “The Man Who Could,” follows in the footsteps of past Common videos, eschewing the usual quick-cut music-video nonsense to develop a short film around the song. This time, Lloyd places the mutual romantic fantasies of random strangers who meet in passing on a Denver street corner. While Common and his band make an appearance in the background of the video, all eyes are on actors Heath Heine and Maureen Lyons as they lock eyes and daydream in a touching, and probably all too true-to-life depiction of a Mile High lonely heart.
