Pictureplane releases free Thee Physical remixes
Songs reworked for latest Dimensional RIP release
If popular culture’s taught us anything worthwhile, it’s that when you punch through the very fabric of the universe, there’s no telling what you’ll get. Bat-Mite or Gozer? Evil, bearded Spock or a Cyberman reboot? Pictureplane’s Travis Egedy’s Dimensional RIP series has produced work as varied as its name suggests, giving fans everything from old-school ’zines to art installations. This time around, Egedy summons something a little closer to home, dedicating the seventh installment of his series to a collection of remixes of tracks on his latest album, Thee Physical. Calling on the skills of such producers as Grimes and Physical Therapy, The Physical Remixes, which is presented by Dis magazine, offers 19 cuts of reimagined Pictureplane. Dis doesn’t say how long Dimensional RIP 7 will be available for free download, so devoted fans should get their hands on it before that wormhole closes.
