Pretty Lights returning to Colorado with back-to-back nights at Red Rocks and the Fillmore
U.K. dubstep star Skream opening at Red Rocks
Pretty Lights
More Just Announced
Pretty Lights, our locally grown master of hip-hop-spiked electronica, is making a triumphant return to his home state this summer with a pair of back-to-back nights at Red Rocks August 12 and the Fillmore August 13. Word is the show is some next-level shit, with “synchronization on every level... between the cutting edge beats and the expansive light show” making for an “intense and immersive sensory experience that has to be seen to be fully understood.” In other words, if you like some trippy-ass lights to pulse along with your wub-wub bass noises and chopped up hip-hop samples, this shit will hit the spot.
Accompanying the Lights on the Red Rocks dates—in the opening slot, no less, which says something about how big Pretty Lights has become—is none other than U.K. dubstep pioneer/legend Skream, in only his second-ever Colorado appearance, and first at the Rocks. Big K.R.I.T, Michal Menert, and Gramatik are also appearing at that show, with special guests/openers for the Fillmore date still TBA. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2 for $39.50 for Red Rocks and $37.50 for the Fillmore, with two-day passes running $69.50 (general) to $107 (VIP). Day of show tickets go up to $45 each day. Service charges apply and will be ridiculous, naturally.
