Newswire Primus announces headlining tour, new album

Primus

Not ones to miss out on the growing nostalgia for all things ’90s, Les Claypool’s Primus has just announced its first headlining tour in nearly four years, including a stop Aug. 12 at Red Rocks. Gogol Bordello opens on most dates, though Wolfmother will close out the tour in California in mid-August. Along with the two-week outing, Primus has also promised to start work on a new album. The forthcoming record will be its first since 1999’s Antipop, and is slated for release sometime in 2011.
