Sleep extends tour, confirms Denver date
More Just Announced
Holy Mountain! Sleep—recently reunited to the goofy-grinned joy of stoned metalheads, er, stoner-metal fans everywhere—has just been confirmed for Sept. 5 at the Gothic Theatre, with special guests to be announced later. The band had already scheduled a short fall tour following its sure to be epic appearance (playing 1993’s Holy Mountain in its entirety, as well as selections from the 73-minute opus Dopesmoker) at All Tomorrow’s Parties in New York—though Denver then was sorely excluded from the limited set of dates. But as it turns out, “limited” isn’t a vow, it’s just a suggestion.
A small number of presales—126 to be exact—will be available for purchase starting at 9 p.m. next Thursday, July 8, at 3 Kings Tavern. Each early-bird ticket comes also with a limited-edition screen-printed poster of the show, courtesy of the newly formed One26 Productions (which booked the Denver date). On-sales start the next day through the Gothic Theatre box office and website.
