At the end of the year, we like to take a look back at the things we worked hard on, had fun with, or particularly liked. We hope that the retrospective also offers readers a chance to catch up on things they might have missed. So every day during our holiday break, we’re giving you a retrospective post rounding up a certain category. Today: sports.
• You can't talk Denver sports without talking Tebow. Jock Itch tackled the topic of Tebow after the Mile High Messiah came off the bench at halftime against San Diego and damn near brought the Broncos back from a 16-point deficit.
• If you're a Tebow hater, you might prefer Matt Schild's blog calling the controversial quarterback out as a champion of mediocrity.
• Still need more Tebow? There's always our look at the Tebow-boosting "Super Fans" video and the local super fans who made it.
• Even with the Broncos, it isn't all Tebow, all the time. When head Bronco John Elway got into a little dust up with the Fort Collins punk band Elway over its name, Jock Itch had to point out the utter stupidity of the situation.
• For those tired of supporting massive corporations, bloated player salaries and egos, and all the other bullshit that goes along with major league sports, Jock Itch's John Reidy delved into Denver's excellent slate of smaller sports teams. He enjoyed it so much he dedicated most of another column to the local hurling scene. (Yes, that's a sport.)
