Stephen Egerton gets by with more than a little help from his friends: His forthcoming solo album, The Seven Degrees of Stephen Egerton, features 15 of them, several of whom hail from Colorado. The onetime Descendents/ALL guitarist enlisted Drag The River’s Jon Snodgrass for vocal duty on “Fire’s On.” The punky power-pop tune recalls Egerton’s manic pop-punk days as well as hints at Snodgrass’ own roots as a hook-worshipping punk in Fort Collins’ Armchair Martian. The full album is out May 11 on Paper + Plastick Records.
