Suburban Home signs Arliss Nancy

Fort Collins band finds home on Denver label

Arliss Nancy, Suburban Home

There’s no secret Denver’s Suburban Home Records has a soft spot for Fort Collins alt-country acts, and through the years it’s released albums by Drag The River and solo albums by Jon Snodgrass and Chad Price. There’s a lot more to the Northern Colorado music scene than the Snodgrass/Price axis, however, and the long-running Mile High label’s set to deliver a glimpse of that this fall, releasing Arliss Nancy’s Simple Machines to a national audience. The album, which was recorded at Backbone Studios earlier this year, features a slew of cameos, including appearances by upstate locals Snodgrass and BJ Buttice of Sour Boy, Bitter Girl (with whom Arliss Nancy shares two members), as well as appearances from other members of the Suburban Home stable, like Lizzie Huffman and members of Two Cow Garage.
