The Flaming Lips headline this year's fest
More Just Announced
While late April seems a bit early to start thinking about festivals set to take place in mid-September, we have to hand it to the folks at the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival. While some festivals prefer to slowly (and maddeningly) leak bits and pieces of their lineups, the Telluride fest has unveiled its whole slate for this year’s fest, which will happen Sept. 16-18 at Telluride Town Park. This year’s headliners are: The Flaming Lips (Sept. 16), Big Head Todd And The Monsters (Sept. 17), and Willie Nelson (Sept. 18).
The undercard features some other worthwhile acts like soulsters Fitz And The Tantrums, Mavis Staples, and Jason Isbell And The 400 Unit. As for the “Brews” part of the fest, the Grand Tasting—where more than 50 microbreweries will be showcasing more than 150 beers—goes down the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 17. Early Bird tickets are gone, but three-day passes will cost you $160 and include entry to the Grand Tasting. Single-day passes go on sale July 1. There are a slew of other ticket options, including nightly post-fest Juke Joint tickets and camping passes. The entire schedule is available now, so there’s no excuse for not getting a jump on planning ... five months in advance.
