Just Announced Tennis serves up spring tour announcement

Tennis, spring tour, Young And Old

Fans of sailing pop everywhere are eagerly awaiting the release of the new Tennis album Young And Old next Valentine’s Day, fueled in part by the popular preview double-single “Origins”/“Deep In The Woods.” While the new album is reported to sound like “Stevie Nicks going through a Motown phase” by guitarist Patrick Riley, the preview single still sounds a lot like a vaguely modernized take on classic girl-group pop. Maybe that means the Stevie Nicks and Motown records Tennis has are different than everyone else’s, but in any case, Tennis fans should probably just settle in for Cape Dory part 2, which is pretty much what they all want anyway, right?

Those fans can now ratchet up their excitement level a bit further, as the band has announced the inevitable tour to promote that album. Kicking off in its hometown of Denver just days after the album hits, Tennis will play across North America for three weeks before wrapping things up at a spring festival in Florida with the puntastic, agriculturally relevant name of Orange You Glad Festival.
