Just Announced The Black Crowes are back... did they ever go away?

The Black Crowes, Motorhead, The Melvins

More Just Announced

Where have The Black Crowes been? Making a new record apparently—actually two new records. Their newest, Before the Frost... (slated for release this September), will include a special download code for ...Until The Freeze, a full-length companion album. The band also recently announced an extended fall tour, including a stop November 13 at the Fillmore Auditorium. Maybe the Crowes haven't been out of the spotlight at all, it's just that Decider hasn't been paying attention. What other songs did they write besides "Hard To Handle" again? Oh, wait. Nevermind—Otis Redding wrote that song.

Vid pick: The Black Crowes' video for "Hard To Handle" wasn't that awesome. We decided instead to share Amy Poehler's shortened version of the song as performed by Kaitlyn, the best Saturday Night Live character since Will Ferrell's Ted Brogan.
