The dead walk (the runway) March 12 at Bender’s for March Of The Zombies III

Those of you who feel like zombies aren’t just for Halloween (and by the way, that should be all of you) should make plans to head to Bender’s on Saturday, March 12, for March Of The Zombies III, the third annual undead fashion show and all-around zombie love-fest from promoter Summer Jackson. The evening features musical contributions from MF Kaaos, Split Second Massacre, and Lola Black—but the biggest attraction, naturally, will be the walking dead.

You’ll get your zombie fix in the form of a local zombie art show, zombie-themed merchandise from local vendors, and an appearance from local zombie author (that’s an author who writes about zombies, not an undead scribe who hungers for the flesh of the living ... we think) Brian Kaufman, who will be signing his book Dead Beyond The Fence. The main event, though, is the zombie fashion show, wherein some of Denver’s most beautiful models will be transformed into Denver’s sexiest ghouls through the talents of a cadre of crack makeup artists. Those newly deadified models will then show off the zombie-inspired works of local designers between the bands’ sets. Afterward, they’ll turn on the audience members and eat them. (Just kidding, they’ll probably just stand around and look hot and dead while drinking PBR.)

Doors open at 9 p.m., March 12. Presale tickets are $5, available online from Bender’s Tavern. If you wait until the day of the show, it’ll cost you $8, and even a zombie has enough brains to know that’s not nearly as good a deal. Look for additional info and updates at the Fashion Zombies site.
