The Denver Art Museum and The Fabric Lab gear up for Style Wars

The Denver Art Museum and The Fabric Lab are bringing back Style Wars—a live fashion competition à la Project Runway—June 25, as part of the museum’s monthly Untitled event series in the Ponti Hall. The premise is simple: Chosen designers get a model, an assistant, an array of materials (last year’s supplies included feathers and car parts), and 30 minutes to design one wearable piece. The kicker to this year’s contest? No sewing machines are allowed—all work must be handmade. If you think you’ve got nimble fingers that can knock out some gorgeous and durable couture in under a half an hour, e-mail Fabric Lab owner Tran Wills at thefabriclab@yahoo.com with samples of your work as well as a little information about yourself and your designs.
