Just Announced The Fray to open for U2 in Denver after all

U2’s “360° Tour” involves such apparatus as “a cylindrical video system of interlocking LED panels, and a steel structure rising 150 feet from the floor over a massive stage with rotating bridges,” and it kicked off in the not-at-all dramatic local of Turin, Italy (known for an obscure shroud or two). And, no doubt, there are backstage matters to attend to, such as what Bono and co. need embossed on their dressing-room toilet paper. In other words, excuse them if they put off small matters like who’s opening the band’s May 21 stop at Invesco Field. Wait, you say, there’s already a kinda-famous band on call right there in Denver? Oh, The Fray? Well, hey, even the biggest bands on earth gotta make do sometimes, don’t they? Really, any band that’s sufficiently dwarf-able and that has a vaguely moony U2-type vibe somewhere down in the mix will do. Alright, make sure to put out some of those mini bagel dogs for ’em, and don’t let them bother Adam Clayton too much. Phew! Glad that’s done, because there are massive cylinders and shit to attend to!
