The Grouch steals Christmas—and gives it back to the kids
Shopping season—we mean, the holiday season—officially began last weekend: Stores rolled out insane deals on Black Friday, further stimulating the American public’s desire to buy shit. (And who didn’t need to hit Old Navy at 3 a.m. for a $10 “Party Cardi”?) But via his How The Grouch Stole Christmas tour, West Coast hip-hopper The Grouch is hoping to counteract greedy souls by focusing on the true spirit of the season: giving. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Bluebird Theater tonight, Dec. 3, or to his Fox Theatre show tomorrow, Dec. 4, for the Grouch’s part in the Toys For Tots drive, and he’ll give you something in return. What that something will be, we’re not sure. But why not go the selfless route and help someone in need without the expectation of reciprocation?
