The Rapture hits the road to support In The Grace Of Your Love
The Rapture
Remember The Rapture? We could forgive you if you can’t. After all, it’s been almost five years since the last Rapture album, not to mention nearly full decade since the band broke the dance-punk sound on the back of “House Of Jealous Lovers.” Ringing a (cow)bell? Come Sept. 6 the band returns to your playlists when it drops In The Grace Of Your Love, its latest album. Then, after letting a couple of weeks go by to let you fall in love with its disco-y goodness (for a taste, have a listen to “How Deep Is Your Love,” which ditches the punk for a straight-up disco-tinged take on Chicago house), the band hits the road for a monthlong tour of the U.S., wrapping things up in Philadelphia about a week before Halloween. (The cool kids in Brooklyn get the band a month early, before the disc even drops. Lucky.)
