Music and comedy, in the wrong hands, bring out the most obnoxious elements of both. In the right hands, however, the two can be awesome. Australian comedian-musician Tim Minchin has the touch, and in his able hands, goofy, oblique humor gets fused to memorable piano melodies to make for some pretty fantastic musical-comedy moments. This fall, Minchin is bringing his piano-driven comedy show to the Boulder Theater for a one-night stand. Come Oct. 9, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy to enjoy Minchin’s skewed takes on topics as wide-ranging as prejudice, the environment, and boobs, all delivered in the form of beautiful, beautiful song by a man with crazy hair and even crazier eyes.
