More Just Announced
Art rock behemoth TV On The Radio has had some ups and downs this year. On the up side, the band ended its hiatus and released the well-received Nine Types Of Light. On the down side, bassist Gerard Smith died, necessitating the cancellation of a handful of tour dates, including its stop here in Denver. Things are looking up, again, though—the band has just announced a slew of new dates, including not one but two nights here in D-town, Sept. 20-21. As a bonus, the Denver shows are one of a handful of dates with Broken Social Scene as the opener, which should please fans of smart, classy indie art-rock, and go a long way toward easing the disappointment anyone felt when those earlier shows were canceled. Tickets are $35 and go on sale at 10 a.m. this Saturday, June 11 via Ticketmaster.
